Since 1998, Kathleen Philbin has assisted mothers through the tender transitions of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum as a midwife. Believing that thoughtful preparation and experienced support are key factors in birth outcomes, she is eager to share how you can experience the best birth possible. She has been a Certified Nurse-Midwife since 1998 and has worked in obstetrics since 1984.
Kathy has over 25 years of experience in delivering children. Her goal as your private midwife is to care for your gynecologic and obstetric needs in a personalized manner with accessibility to her on a 24-hour basis. She strives to individualize your birth experience to enable you to have a safe birth in a hospital setting that includes your family and loved ones. Kathy supports your birthing goals at, our women’s clinic, in a respectful and nurturing environment– whether you are choosing an all-natural birth or already planning your epidural. It is her job to advocate for your birth plan for you, from ensuring delayed cord clamping and golden hour, to communicating medication preferences to the medical staff.
